Step-by-Step Enrollment Instructions

1. Look for Your Welcome Email

If you meet your plan's eligibility requirements, you’ll receive a Welcome email from Ubiquity.

  • Click the GET STARTED button in the email.
  • Important: The link expires after 30 days. If it’s no longer valid, ask your employer to resend it.

2. Set Up Your Account

Click Set up my account and follow the prompts. You must complete each step before gaining access to your dashboard.

3. Create Login Credentials

Set a password, agree to the Terms of Service, and click Sign Up.

4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication

You have the option to receive your authentication code by app, email, text, or voice call. 

5. Verify Personal Information

Review and confirm your personal details. If any are incorrect, complete the enrollment process and notify your employer to request updates.

6. Set Your Contribution Elections

  • If your plan does not use automatic enrollment:
    Choose your deferral amount and type (Pre-tax, Roth, or both). Use percentages or flat dollar amounts.
    Use our Retirement Calculator if you need help choosing a deferral rate.
  • If your plan does use automatic enrollment:
    You’ll see the default percentage and escalation schedule (if any). To opt out, click the Opt-Out button. Once you opt-out you can elect to defer at the rate of your choosing.

7. Select Your Investment Options

You’ll be offered:

  • Age-based investments
  • Choose your own funds
  • Open a brokerage account (if allowed by your plan; $100 setup + annual fee)

If your plan includes the Censibly Yours service, you'll also see a quiz to help match you with an investment strategy.

8. Add Beneficiary Information

Add at least one beneficiary to inherit your 401(k). You can add multiple by clicking Add another beneficiary. You may skip this step and complete it later, but we strongly encourage you to return and finish it.

9. Complete Enrollment

Click Got It to log into your account. You’re all set!

After Enrollment

  • Visit the Plan Overview section to see your eligibility, contribution types, vesting schedule, and distribution options.
  • You can update your deferral amounts, personal details, and investments anytime from your dashboard.
